Minecraft modern house ideas

A modern house in Minecraft is all about clean shapes: flat roofs, big windows, white walls and a few wood or black details. It is also one of the easiest styles to learn, because most of it is simple boxes. If you have been searching for a minecraft modern house to copy, you are in the right place.

Below are three modern house minecraft ideas. The first is an easy little house of two stacked cubes. The second is a two-storey house with a pool. The third is a big villa with a garage, a glass room and a rooftop hot tub. Every build has a picture, a blueprint you can follow layer by layer, and a materials list. In GenieCrafter you can also type the wish in chat and the genie builds its own version in your family's private world.

Tips for building your own

Think in boxes

Most modern houses are just boxes stacked and pushed sideways. Build one big box, put a second box on top, and slide it so it sticks out a few blocks. That overhang is the main modern look.

Keep the colours simple

Use only three or four blocks: white concrete, black concrete, a light grey, and one wood such as oak or birch planks. Too many colours make a house look busy. Wood on a door or one wall adds warmth.

Use big windows

Cut wide windows in the front, three blocks tall, and fill them with glass. Add black concrete lines every three or four blocks to look like window frames. Black lines make glass look neat and real.

Flat roofs need a thin edge

Cover the roof with black concrete and let it stick out one or two blocks past the walls. A thin roof edge looks sharp and modern. A thick roof looks like a heavy lid.

Hide your lights

Put sea lanterns into the ceiling or the roof edge instead of torches. They give strong light, stop monsters from spawning inside, and look like built-in lamps. Add a few lanterns on posts along the path.

Finish with a garden and a pool

A hedge made of leaf blocks, a couple of trees and a path make the house feel real. For a pool, dig a hole, line it with quartz blocks and fill it with water. Put a sea lantern in the floor so it glows at night.

Questions

How do you build a modern house in Minecraft?

Build a white box for the ground floor, then put a second box on top and slide it so it sticks out. Add a flat black roof, cut big glass windows and add a wood door. Finish with a hedge, a path and some lights.

What blocks are best for an easy modern house in Minecraft?

White concrete for walls, black concrete for the roof and window frames, and glass for windows. Add oak or birch planks for a warm wood detail, and quartz or polished andesite for paths and pool edges.

How big should a modern house on Minecraft be?

A small one can be about 12 blocks wide and 9 deep, which is quick to finish. A family house is closer to 18 wide with two floors. Rooms should be at least three blocks tall inside so they feel open.
