Tips for building your own

Pick two or three soft colours

Cute houses use a small set of colours. White walls with a pink or light blue roof is an easy start. Add one accent colour, like red for a heart or a bow, and stop there.

Add pink with concrete and wool

Pink concrete is bright and flat, and pink wool is softer. Use concrete for roofs and trim, and wool for flowers and blossom trees. Cherry planks and cherry leaves are also pink and easy to find in a cherry grove.

Make the roof a big part of the look

A roof that sticks out past the walls looks cozy. Build it in steps, one block narrower on each layer. Leave the space under it empty so you can walk into the attic.

Add small details outside

Flower boxes under the windows, a picket fence, a lantern on a post and a stone path make a house feel lived in. These little parts cost almost nothing and do more for the look than a bigger house.

Round trees look cute

Make blossom trees from a ball of pink blocks on a dark trunk. You can leave the inside of the ball empty to save blocks. Put a few leaf blocks around the base so it feels like it grows there.

Light the inside and the garden

Put a lantern on the ceiling or on a fence post inside, and a lantern on each gate post outside. Good light makes the house glow at night and keeps monsters away.

Questions

How do you build a cute house in Minecraft?

Start with a small square floor, then build white or pastel walls and a stepped roof in a soft colour. Add a door, windows with flower boxes, a lantern and a fence. Keep the colours simple and the details small.

What blocks make a cute Minecraft house?

White concrete walls, pink or light blue concrete roofs, oak fences, lanterns and pink wool for flowers work well. Cherry planks and cherry leaves are great if you want real pink blocks. Add glass for windows.

What is an easy cute house to build in Minecraft?

A single-room cottage about 9 blocks wide is the easiest. Give it a pink roof, a heart above the door and a fence around the lawn. The Pink Heart Cottage here takes about an afternoon.
