Minecraft treehouse ideas

Every Minecraft player wants a treehouse at some point. You climb up, pull up the stairs and look over your whole world from the leaves. This page has three Minecraft tree houses to build: a small oak cabin, a jungle treehouse with a rope bridge, and a big village in the treetops. Each one has pictures, a layer-by-layer blueprint and a materials list.

The trees in Minecraft are small, so most of these builds use a giant trunk you make yourself. That gives you room for decks, stairs and bridges. In GenieCrafter you can also type a wish like these in chat and the genie builds its own version in your family's private world.

Tips for building your own

Make the trunk thicker

A single log looks thin next to a big treehouse. Build a trunk that is 2 by 2 or 3 by 3 blocks and add logs that stick out at the bottom as roots. A thick trunk also holds up a bigger platform.

Round leaves look more natural

Build the canopy as a few overlapping balls of leaves instead of one big square. Make some higher and some lower, and leave a few gaps. In survival, use shears to collect leaves so you do not have to wait for drops.

Hold the deck up with logs

Put log beams under the platform, running from the trunk out to the edge, and add a few diagonal braces. Players notice when a deck floats on nothing. Posts that reach the ground also make it feel safe.

Match the wood to the biome

Oak and spruce suit a forest, jungle wood and bamboo suit a jungle, and cherry blocks make a pink grove. Using one wood for the deck and a darker wood for the roof keeps the build easy on the eyes.

Add railings and lanterns

Put fences around every deck so nobody falls off, and leave a gap where the stairs arrive. Hang lanterns at the corners and inside every room. Light level 7 or lower lets mobs spawn, even up in the trees.

Use stairs, not ladders, for kids

A ladder is quick but a spiral staircase around the trunk is easier to climb and looks great. Make each step one block higher than the last and keep it two blocks wide so players do not slip off.

Questions

How do you build a treehouse in Minecraft?

Build or find a tree with a thick trunk, then add a platform of planks halfway up. Put a small house with a roof on the platform, and add stairs or a ladder to climb up. Finish with railings, lanterns and a few leaves around the edge.

How do you make a jungle treehouse in Minecraft?

Use jungle logs for the trunk and jungle leaves for the canopy. Build the deck from jungle planks and the hut from bamboo planks. A moss block roof, a rope bridge between two trees and a lookout at the top give it the jungle feeling.

What are some good Minecraft treehouse ideas?

A small cabin on one tree is the easiest. After that, try two trees joined by a rope bridge, or a whole village of houses in the treetops. Changing the wood and leaf color, such as pink cherry leaves, gives a new look each time.
