For parents

The kind of screen time you can feel good about

Your kids imagine it. The genie builds it. You explore it together. It’s creative play, in a world only your family can enter.

Private by design

Only people you invite can join. No strangers, no public servers.

You hold the keys

Approve players, set play hours and daily wishes from the parent app.

Kind words only

Wishes are checked before anything is built.

No tech headaches

No server setup, no mods, no sketchy downloads. Join from the Minecraft you already own.

Making, not watching

Kids describe, plan and create instead of scrolling videos of other people building.

iPad and PC, together

Brothers, sisters and cousins play in one world, whatever device they have.

Why we built it

“My kids kept asking for things I couldn’t build fast enough: a kitty world, a pony world, a theme park like the one we love to visit. So I made a genie that could. Watching them dream something up and then run around inside it is the best part of my day. Now your family can have one too.”

Common questions

Is it safe for my kids?

Your world is private and invite-only. You approve every player, wishes are checked before anything is built, and you can see everything that was made.

What devices does it work on?

iPad, iPhone, Android phones and tablets (Minecraft Bedrock), and PC (Minecraft Java). We will confirm game console support before launch.

Do we need to buy Minecraft?

Yes. Each player needs their own copy of Minecraft. GenieCrafter adds your family’s private world and the genie.

Does the genie do all the creating?

No. It gives you a head start. You decide what to wish for, then explore, change and add to it. Players spend far longer playing in a build than wishing for it.

How long does setup take?

A couple of minutes. You get an address, everyone types it into Minecraft, and you are in.

How do wishes work?

Every build is a wish. Small builds take 1 wish, bigger ones take more. Before building, the genie tells you about how many wishes it expects to use. That is an estimate: the final count can be a little more or less depending on how much work the build takes, and the genie always asks before going much over. If a build fails, it doesn’t cost a wish.

What happens if we stop paying?

Your world pauses and everything your family built is saved for 90 days. Pick up where you left off any time in that window. After 90 days the world is deleted. Wishes you bought stay on your account.
